Enjoy a stellar line-up of comedians for just £8 from the comfort of your own sofa. We’re all in need of a laugh and a fundraising virtual comedy night in aid of a local football club should be just the tonic.
With no revenue coming in, AFC Croydon Athletic has turned to fundraising events to achieve that aspiration – the first of which being a virtual comedy night with the finest South London comedians on the bill.
The Thornton Heath non-league based club are fully committed to hosting football in a safe environment when circumstances allow – for the next generation of young people, their families and spectators.
You can join a night of stellar comedians streaming straight to your sofa via Zoom (http://zoom.us/download) on Thursday February 11, 8:30pm start (10pm finish).
The line up features:
Lloyd Griffith: star of Soccer AM on Sky Sports and TV credits including Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats. A Times review said about Lloyd ‘Disarmingly good‘ and Evening Standard ‘Jaw-dropping’.
Stefano Paolini: comedian, impressionist and beatboxer, never fails to please a crowd says Chortle.co.uk and is ‘the best voice merchant on the circuit is Paolini’ according to the Evening Standard.
Laura Smyth: as seen on ITV’s Jonathan Ross Comedy Club and was the winner of the Funny Women Award in 2019. Has bee described as a ‘real force-of-nature’ by Chortle.
Thanyia Moore is south East London’s finest. As seen on BBC3 show Bamous, BBC 2’s Mock The Week and Channel 4’s TV documentary Black British and Funny.
The night is being MC’d by Siôn James who was desribed as “Utterly charming … Lovable giant” by Time Out London.
