A fun art project is aiming to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for refugees at Brigstock House.
Van Dang, The Chronicle’s designer and web administrator for the Thornton Heath Community Action Team, is organising a series of free one hour art project, which is for children from the age of two to 10 and their families, starting on September 11.
She said: “I want to say BIG THANKS to everyone who donated art materials and your time to Free Art. We made a forest yesterday and after six weeks the kids started to look forward to our session every Monday. “As you can see we had a lot of snakes here! Thanks Christine Milton and Barbara Benjamin for your time and patience. I could never have managed 12 kids without you.”
